Rarely do I get to combine two of my passions at work, but The Business Expo at Cardiff’s Bierkeller, could be different.

For the first time in the name of business development, I should be able to enjoy a beer or three while raising money for charity. I hope the venue, time of day and the inclusion of a happy hour with live music will make this a fun day. We’ve all been to black tie charity events, which are akin to pulling teeth and while this Expo may not lead me to Caroline Street at 2:30am; stranger things have happened.

Who’s Going to the Business Expo

I expect to catch up with some friends who are attending. All the BNI regulars, including South Wales’ most tenacious debt collector, Nicola Weston, along with our favourite printer Darren Roberts from Rainbow Print Wales.

I know that Claire Bowen from Career Recruitment will also have a stand. Claire recently wrote a blog explaining how candidates should deal with awkward interview questions. Here’s one for your list Claire;

“Explain a situation you were proud of in a previous role.”

We have a stand where we will be networking and talking to people who invoice B2B. You can find us at stand No. 14, just three places from Little Bigfoot Promotions and 13 from Pit Stop HR! We are keen to help anyone who could use faster cashflow. After all, we have to justify the spend to our MD somehow.
