A Credit to Welsh Entrepreneurship

The Bierkeller Business Expo Went Well – Here’s what I learned about the state of Welsh Business

Okay, so it may not have been Welsh business in its entirety because most businesses were from the South East and we were in a German-themed pub, but let’s ignore that for now.

Seriously Impressed by Business Growth

I get to see ‘growth’ businesses every day. It is my job to ensure businesses have capital for growth.

Despite seeing positives in business every day, it’s still easy to forget how vibrant the economy is in South Wales. Although many of my networking friends were present as well as some great businesses that I met for the first time and I was impressed by each and every one.

I had a great conversation with corporate solicitor, Camille who represented Geldards at the event. It’s interesting to understand that as a businesses grows, so does its reliance on sound advice. Richard Williams, director of Microsoft partnered business PiSYS.net and his business’ growth is a clear indication that the local economy is growing and becoming more IT dependent.

I was particularly interested in the direction of the South Wales Chamber of Commerce. So much so, that after speaking with Neil Cross, we decided to join. I’d particularly like to commend the work of their digital team on their shiny new website.

I also found that External Restore is a business that is definitely leading its field in terms of service level. Having been in business for many years and having employed cleaning companies, you know that some just tick boxes while others are all about the service. I’d say that these guys are in the latter category.

What I took from the Bierkeller Business Expo

Phil Smith wins Jack Daniels at the Bierkeller Business Expo

I wrote a preview last week and expected a good show. There were many positives to take from the day, from both a business and personal perspective. We managed to secure some great leads from businesses that are looking to grow without the impedance of slow-paying customers.

I am also the proud owner of a bottle of Jack Daniels thanks to a raffle organised by Penny Pressler and the team at Pink Angels Office Services.

If I met you at the expo, or are yet to chat with you, but you could use some help with business cashflow, please get in touch on 0333 772 1558 or connect with me on LinkedIn below.
